In the 1980s (pre LOTR movies) I made a school speech about the history and habits of Orcs based on my understanding of dungeons and dragons.
The class listened intently to my every word, despite my nervousness
Halfway through my speech I forgot where I was going and improvised that they were great musicians and had invented the ukelele

one time whilst hosting a school awards evening (whilst in year 11) i made a joke referring to English, Maths and Science as the 'Triple Entante of evil' (referring to the triple entante of Britain, France and Russia in WW2) luckily the History teacher was popular and he laughed, thus everyone else laughed. i wont be doing that again!
