this is my fifth stolen digital camera in 2 years, and frankly this time I really want to find it and get it back. Is it possible to find my camera if the person who uses it uploads photos from the camera on the internet?

Where do you live? I sure don't want to go there.

In answer to your question, no, there is no way to tell from photos what the serial number of the camera is. File a police report and notify the camera manufacture. Then watch eBay.

No, the camera serial number is not stored in the EXIF data. The only way would be if they uploaded a picture you had taken prior to its being stolen.

not really, Unless you have the Serial number, I would check the Local Pawn shops, they are required to make sure the stuff they receive is not stolen merchandise, also make sure you filed a police report for this..

No, but you can call the manufacture and list it with them as stolen so if they ever take it in for service or parts it will come up stolen.Good luck!

they'll probably look it the thing til the battery runs out and leave it on a dresser to look at but won't throw it away, thieves have little ideals of why they steal you may have been someone they would like but will never have so this is revenge?
