it is a gangster era slang talk, Humphrey Bogart stuff, tuff guys get all the bad breaks, means they feel the world is stacked against them, a lucky break is like gambling and winning, it is something nice that happens to a person you would not it expect it to happen to,

yes. I have a loving husband even though I miss him more than anything (hes in afghanistan) and I have a car....a place to live...food...and friends. Even though my life isnt so great at this moment i still feel lucky because alot of people still dont have what i have.

A LUCKEY BREAK MEANS, WHEN YOUR GOING TO BE HIT BY A BIG TRUCK, AND YOU SLIP AND FALL THE OTHER WAY' AND THE TRUCK PASSES YOU BY . THAT'S A LUCKEY BREAK.
