i have known this guy for about 2-3 months and we have meet say 3-4 times.we keep in tough everyday even though we r not in the same city . we r friends but we r a bit formal.. he never ever tried to flirt with me. one day i just got a msg 4m him saying ki he at times feels very lonely n depressed. i m surprised coz i never thoght we r close enough and comfortable enough to talk about our personal stuffs.. why did he said that?

He;s feeling really lonely and isolated right now, and needs someone to support him. Sometimes people a little more distant from us can give us better perspective, or we feel "safer" talking to them. One of my best long-distance friends says I kept him alive during his really tough times. I could do that coz I was more removed from him and just supported him however I could.
Maybe it's just that. If he wanted you, he would've shown it by now.

Because he was lonely and depressed. It's called a origination, a form of communication and you handle it by acknowledging....if you want to, ask, what's going on? Don't get into trying to solve his problem, just let him outflow....might help for him to put it out so he can look at it....outflow helps a person get exterior from his problem.

you say youve never thought you guys were close enough yet you keep in touch(im guessing email) EVERYDAY.what do you do? just type each other spam?cmon...i think you know the answer to this...the guy probably got touched by the way youve gotten in contact with each other despite the distance because in one way or the other, a part of you probably wished for him to feel that way.
