Robitussen, Dimetapp both are very good, you can use a cough suppressant (to hold coughing like night time or at work) or a cough expectorant (to help you cough the stuff up).
if your store/pharmacy doesn't sell this, ask the pharmacist on duty to help you out.

Try Vicks for immediate relef (it tastes good), and any cough syrup for a local chemist shop..it would be fine. Also try tea with some ginger and "tulsi" leaves..it will work really fast!
