The TSA doesn't specifically identify a geiger counter on their prohibited items list. But it does say that you should consult your airline if you're concerned.

Actually electronic equipment is allowed on aircraft,which is a surprise to me,I am sure this question is a result of the recent news article on the British Airways report of small amounts of radiation being reported on their airplane fleet,which could have been an indirect result of the recent poisoning of the Russian spy who met his early demise.

Have u heard about a dosimeter? Haven't seen one myself but if my info is correct it's just like those scientist wear or taped to their id's which changed colour due to radiation contaminants.
Then its possible to carry one yet you might alarm those wise ones and might create a panic among fellow passengers.

No! in an aircraft which carries passengers there is no radiation, so even if he carries one, he will not be able to check it.

I think you can. You can bring laptops and iPods on planes.

If you are concerned about radiation, don't sit near the windows and wear long sleeves. Also don't sit near exit signs as many have tritium so they glow in the dark.

No, you can't. That is just absolutely rediculous.

Go to your airline's website, their alliance website or the FAA website and look at the list of electronics that you are allowed to bring onboard. ANything else, you can't bring
