Hello there
The worm will leave your kitten via its stoll it can come all in one piece or broken up, the main thing to check is if its alive or not. And also does your kitten have a round fat belly (This is a sign of worms). Shop bought treatment may not kill all of the worms.
If a kitten has worms of any description it can be fatal if not treated, the safest form of treatment is called Panacure this is the safest in my opinion as can even be used in pregnant queens to! you will have to get the measurement right though. From the Vet it will cost you around £5 to £7.00.

I hope that the pill you got for him came from the veterinarian because there are no drugs sold that will effectively get rid of tapeworm except those you have to get from the vet. You may not obviously see it in the stool. I have never obviously seen a dead tapeworm in a stool (the little segments you see that come out the rectum of a dog or cat with tapeworm, are egg cases). The most common tapeworm that cats and dogs get, is carried by fleas. The cat or dog swallows a flea, the tapeworm eggs inside the flea hatch out in the pet. So flea prevention will also prevent tapeworm. .The second most common form of tapeworm is picked up when a dog or cat eats an infected rodent.
I have found that cats with tapeworm often lose weight and have dull coats and loose stools and after deworming, their stool becomes firm again, they pick up weight, and they regain coat shine.

If you give him the pill, the tapeworm will disintegrate in the intestine and you will not see anything anymore in the feces as if it has melted away. You will know that the pill was effective because there will be no more of those segmented worms or grain like worm coming out from the anus (alive).

When a tape worm is alive it will either be thrown up or come out in stool, but as you've treated it you probably wont notice anything unusual as tape worms are made up of small sections which break up when they're dead.

every day give it a piece of meat for 2 weeks then after two weeks put a piece of meat on a string and put by his mouth after you wait a couple of days.he'll be so hungry that the tape worm will jump out of his mouth to get the meet because he is used to getting meat every day.
-just a joke

You will not see any evidence of the tapeworm because the chemical (praziquantil) in tapeworm tablets DISSOLVES the worm within the cat's intestines.

it can be shed in strips or in tiny pieces and because they are dead you probably won't see them
