James 1:22-25 (KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty (the Bible), and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deeds.

Is it not amazing to know Job 37:18; that 715 to 857 years after Exo.38:8; the they had lookimg glasses, and onto the apostle Pauls comment about a looking glass about 60 yeas after Jesus. As you ask.

They didn't have looking glasses when the original bible was written. Technology with glass came later. Liquids were stored in clay receptacles during Biblical times.
