Everytime I go to the south to visit I find that sistas are a lot more friendly. In Los Angeles it seems as if sistas have a hollywood mentality. I know one thing I can't wait to move to the dirty south not just because of the sexy nice ladies there but LA is too hollywood for this brotha.

The south has what You call hospitality. Manners, respect, where ppl are still called Sir and Maam. The south has a way for acceptance more so then the coasts do. Not all ppl on the coasts are like that though. They are much busier and the hustle and bustle is faster. The south, is just laid back country folk. black eye peas, catfish, country fried steak, grits, and now I am hungry. It is a feeling you get when you visit the south. I lived in Texas for 10 years, and it was nice, to humid but nice. They ppl just seem to be more friendly and they don't seem to have the attitude that everyone is out to get them. Does not even matter race.

I don't actually live in LA, but I do live in CA and I've noticed some black girls, and other girls, are sort of rude and dismissive.
Me, I've been raised around a lot of Southern black women because that's where most of my family came from before a few of us moved to CA, and they do seem a lot nicer than the women who grew up in CA. I've visited the south a lot because that's where the rest of my family is and everyone just seems more nice and kind there. It's just the way people are there. It's the way people were raised and their sorroundings.

So if you live in LA you know why they have to be tough. The south isn't primal like LA. I lived there and I know what it is to be hard. BUt then that is why I am not there anymore...Good luck in the south.

lol if they are nice to you in the south, it is because you are black. im white and i didnt get much of the niceness down there. grew up in atlanta. i got more of a "you need something from me? tough, get it your self, or wait an hour and maybe ill get off my fat *** and help you.." attitude. nothing really racial, just more often a black woman cause there are more black women in atlanta.

Be careful, the dirty south is well known for their high quantity of HIV/AIDS infected persons. Otherwise, I guess it's their upbringing, and them being molded by their surroundings.
