Pattaya, while beautiful, night life is full of girls of the night. If you can ignore that, you will have a great time. It is a men's playground prowling for girls of all types.
Plenty of inexpensive hotels, excellent food there. Weather is always in the high 20's, early 30's.
Instead, go to Phuket or Phi Phi island. Another idyllic setting where you will have white sandy beaches, quiet place for a walk on the beach - try Koh Samui. It is just like you see in pic.post cards. All have inexpensive hotels and great food.

I'd like to recommend 'Hua Hin beah' or 'Phuket beach' instead. Don't go to Pattaya, trust me. You'll end up pay same amout of money on food and hotel but it's not going to worth it. Those 2 places are more laid back and everything is nicer there, people, food and beaches. Trust me, I'd love to go to those beaches right now if I can!!

Why Pattaya? It is one of the worst, dirtiest and most congested beaches in Thailand.. and there must be 10,000 lady bars.. well, go check it out if you like, up to you, but most people go for the ladies..

Stay away from there espcially being a couple - you might regret your decision and get a wrong impression from beautyful Thailand! Try the islands...
