Yes, anything that threatens the power and wealth of the church is a tool of Satan. Through history, it is a known fact that church killed and tortured any free thinking people. If you questioned the church, you were burned. If you knew of an herb or root that could relieve headaches, heartburn, etc, you were burned as a witch because the church literally said that only they could do that. When science backed the use of herbs, the scientists were killed. You can only be controlled if you are stupid enough to let it happen. Even today, any science that goes against the church is evil. Galileo and Darwin faced the same problems. The thing is, power fades, and people were allowed to have opinions. Now the church must accept science when calling it evil starts to undermine their authority. This happens when the average people get a clue. The world is opening, and ideas flow. The internet is helping greatly. Harry potter is evil because he uses methods other than the church to fix his problems. Ouija boards supposedly are another way to talk to the "great beyond", and the churches power comes from being the only ones that can do that. Meditation is a way to help yourself, without the church. And science is the thing that can expose the lies of any religion.

Yup. Service and true consideration of others is first virtue.
Those who serve themselves with greed, dominance and selfish drives contribute most to Satanic influence over other people. "I've got mine, Jack: (bleep) you!"
Think executive privelege, global commerce, faith-based initiatives and invention of freeways/gasoline-powered personal transport.
Harry Potter is a distillation of mythical literature, meditation is beneficial and at worst harmless, science is victimized for commercial gain. Don't know about Ouija boards, just that we don't understand how or why it works: it does seem to express inner drives. Don't use it if you don't understand yourself.

Satan's method of control is much less dramatic, and yet much more dangerous.
Simply put, his way of controlling people is to lead them into a life of dull sin -- a life without God.
He does this by convincing people -- sometimes through other people, sometimes through popular culture, and such -- that sin isn't really sin, and that "anything we do is okay as long as no one gets hurt."
Temptation to apostasy and sin is by far the Devil's most common method of controlling people; it is also by far his most effective and most dangerous way of doing it.
Ouija boards and demonic possession and such sound very scary, but those are not the things we really have to worry about. The far greater concern is avoiding the Devil's temptations and "watering down" of the concept of sin.

Satan can't control you in any way.
He can influence you in any way you let him.
Some actions you take can leave you more susceptible to his influence.

Sure, false church doctrines. The best tool Satan has is any false doctrine taught in churches that goes against bible teaching. The sinners prayer is the one thing taught that many people hold their salvation on and it is not even hinted at in the bible. I challenge anyone to show me just one mention of the sinners prayer in the bible. IT AIN'T THERE.
We are told to ask Jesus into our hearts and to say the sinners prayer to accomplish this, but no where in the whole bible are we ever told to ask Jesus into our hearts.
Now we are told in the bible to put on Christ, to be clothed with Christ and to be buried with him and we are also told in scripture that baptism is the means to do this. Mark:16:16, Acts2:38, Romans6:3,4,5,6, First Corinthians 12:13,Galatians 3:27 1Peter 3:21
But modern churches deny baptism as essential for salvation when the scripture is plain that it is. Modern churches teach to ask Jesus into your hearts and demand you deny baptism is essential.
This is Satan's best tool to keep people from obeying God.
But don't believe me. I am just a former Christian who is now pagan, But believe what the bible says.
I may not be Christian any longer, but the bible knowledge is still with me. Most Christians believe the bible less than I do and I no longer believe the bible, but I still know what it says.
Another tool is the so called Christian holidays that are actually pagan. Christmas and Easter are pagan in origin and were the pagan Gods birthday before Christ was ever born. Jesus was not born in December, but Christians do not care and they do not even care that it was the birthday of the unconqured sun. Jesus would be insulted to be cast in with many pagan Dieties on their day.
I hear many Christians claim that since christmas has been celebrated as the birth of Christ fo many years, that makes it okay, but they fail to read the bible what God expects on these matters.

Yes if you let him. He can play with your mind anywhere anytime, but just remember God is a lot more powerful than him, and that is an understatement. Greater is he that is in me than he who is in the world. Jesus is more powerful than the devil, and that too is an understatement. Satan will only have as much control as you let him. Remember to resist the devil and he will flee from you. Always rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus. He will then have to flee.
