met this guy at a party wed night, one thing led to another and we ended up spending most of the evening together. We then went bar hoping till the early hours and he invited me back to his for more drinking. We ended up sitting on his sofa chatting and holding hands till 5am and then he asked me to stay over promising to be a total gentleman. He was, we went straight to sleep I woke up with him holding me and he kissed me for the first time in the morning. He is off on a boys holiday for 3/4 weeks on thurs, but asked for my number when I left and said he would call me when he got back.
1) Is the fact he was a gentleman indicative of him liking me or not being interested
2) Is it likely he just asked for my number to be polite
3) Is the fact he said he was going to phone on his return good indication he is thinking of pursuing this or the polite brush off
4) If he was really interested would he not call/text from hols nothing yet
any other comments?

Hey C if he isn't gay then I think you may have Mr right calling you soon as he gets in .
After all if he didn't want to see you he could have just called you a cab and sent you on your way , and in the morning you could have got the i have to run just see your self out .
The fact that he wasn't all over you is justification that he respects you and wants to treat you as well as he knows you should be treated So if he calls you back and I hope he does be nice don't doubt his intentions until he give you cause to. he sounds really nice to me.

You keep posting this question so obviously you aren't satisfied with the answers your getting. Heres the real truth: yes gentlemen exist, but even they want hot sex, can't force a girl though. He could have asked for your number out of politeness, But if he phones you and wants to meet again they he wants you, Guy's don't waste time with girls they don't fancy. Him phoning you simply means he has a busy life style, of course this could be a brush off but you'll know if you don't here from him by Sunday. He could be having too much fun on holiday, You know the fact you didn't sleep with him may be an indication you only want to be friends, from his point of view.

He sound alright to me... he also sounds possibly quite intelligent.
He going off for 3 or 4 week with the boys.
He's going sh*gging
He'll have nothing to feel guilty about while he's doling it (Yes some, not all, blokes have a conscience)
And when he come back, he can give you a bell... and come home to a good looking girl. No worries. He's sorted.
He was prabably too drunk or possibly gay not to sleep with you on the first night. If he is gay, then i guess the boys holiday will a voyage of discovery.

Relax dollface - he sounds like e perfect gent. If he calls you when he gets back then you'll have al these questions answered. I think the fact that he didn't make a move shows he respected you. If he wasn't interested he wouldn't have kept you around till 5 am thats for sure.
As far as he's concerned he's not in a relationship yet so why should he call you?

If he is reading this he will not be able to help but to shake his head in wonder. He was a perfect gentleman so he not interested but if he tried it on he was only interested in one thing. He asks for your number so he was only being polite. He doesn't ask for your number and he is a creep. Need I go on? Keep your fingers and toes crossed that this guy calls you when he gets back, as he promised he would. He sounds great.

You know we guys often say thing like that and guess what, that's what we do. We probably won't call or text before because we said: "When we get back." It's a sort of agreement.
When I make a statement like that to my partner, she gets tetchy if I don't call in the meantime but I haven't done anything other than what I said.
If he's like me, he'll wait until he's back.
If he's genuine he'll call.

Letas answer your questions as you have laid them out .
(1) Nahh-- he was more than likely too sloshed and couldn't raise a eyebrow -- let alone anything else.
(2) More than likely -- the fact you went to bed with him --- both of you fully dressed --of course -- and you didn.t jump HIS bones makes him think ---" jeeze -- what kind of dead Dodo have I got laying next to me".
(3) Bit difficult this one as he has already thrown your phone No. down the Loo (( result of the "dead dodo syndrome", so if he accidently meets you again he can always feign good manners and NOT call you a tart for hoping into bed with him (( fully dressed of course )) and NOT jumping HIS bones --- mind you -- if he DOES call you up --- dump him ---for any man going to bed with a girl on the first date (( fully dressed of course)) and doesn't wanna see the "promised land" welllllllll he's either dead from the neck up OR as queer as a nine bob note.
(4) Why should he call you when he's on holiday -- he.s having fun--bonking the brains out of a first time date --in bed --- totally undressed--and she's going like a steam train --- Forget this one girl ----move on --

I wouldn't worry about this if I was you, if he didn't like you he would have not spent the whole night with you and would have certainly not kissed you.
Now, don't spoil everything by chasing him or calling him or anything like that, relax and he'll come to you when he gets back!!

honestly... maybe he was really drunk, and just passed out... worse scenario though... as far as calling from his holiday.... he has plans with the GUYS... you know what hey do.... those GUYS....try to pick up chicks....he really cant be bothered with e-mails and phone calls...if he calls you when he gets back... he probably didn't get too Lucky... or he was to drunk and just passed out again,,, with some strange chick in his arms....strange,,, but probably true..
