"What should we do with questions like these?"
Shed a tear for the failure of our nation's public school system.

the creation acount has been an accepted beilief since adam was created.
scientific theory is just that, a theory.
I am not ignorant of science but it appears you do not have a belief in God and yet you exist which is also fact not theory.
when man went into space for the first time and confirmed the words of Job written thousands of years ago, that the earth hangs on nothing and is a circle. How did he get there?
and how did he get back? didn't he use the natural laws that govern this planet, that were created by God.
what about DNA,
Psalms 139:12 Even the darkness itself would not prove too dark for you,
But night itself would shine just as the day does;
The darkness might just as well be the light.
13 For you yourself produced my kidneys;
You kept me screened off in the belly of my mother.
14 I shall laud you because in a fear-inspiring way I am wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful,
As my soul is very well aware.
15 My bones were not hidden from you
When I was made in secret,
When I was woven in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw even the embryo of me,
And in your book all its parts were down in writing,
As regards the days when they were formed
And there was not yet one among them.
did you know the bible mentions DNA.
I have no problem with science, the Bible is not a scientific text book, but when it does touch on science it is accurate.
it talks about the water cycle, the change in tides being contolled by the moon, the earth being a sphere long before man had the capability to know such things, that points to inspiration and creation not evolution and chance

I am with serenaa.... when you speak of "Christians" you may mean different things, since christians have a mind and a capability to use it. I have answered similar questions in the past and, frankly speaking, this argument between "creationism" and "evolution" has no sense. Obviously we believe in evolution too!! This is not say that science is always right, but putting our heads under the sand would be much worse. We only say that, being God what He is, and NOT a sort of moody superman as He is often described, He initiated the life... and having no Time, it is obvious that "He created all the creatures in the world".. it is never written "alltogther"!! But, if our sons are born with six fingers, as some famous people were, are they without a soul?? No to mention that I believe also the animals have a soul, so for me is easier...

Well, I did answer that question, but looking back I realize that she was never looking for an answer, she's just ranting about things she obviously doesn't understand. Maybe just a link to the counterargument, or a link to one of the better evolution sites in the future? Bothering to answer the 'question' does little, I'm sure, even when all 25 posters disagreed with the OP and agreed with each other.

I really don't know what to do with questions like that.
Sometimes I'll start to respond and abandon the response without finishing because it's obvious that there's not really a question there. Other times I'll respond as if there were a sincere question. If I'm particularly annoyed by the tone or by misinformation, I'll write something flip.

that kinda question is what u get when a freak acceleration of evolution produces a monkey with just enough intelligence to type, found a mad preacher, and decided to solve his/her species origin insecurity problem with a banana stuck up their @**
however on a more positive note, its good to have a monkey to yell/type at when u had a bad day. questions like that are like stress relief for some of us, so let em stay, it'd be boring without them.
to 'truth_hurts': I'm at least glad ur name shows awareness of what will happen to you when u start thinking more. now quit quoting that stuff, it's as convincing as the fairy tales u still read that u should have stopped reading at the age of 5.

I don't have much hope for the ability of a mind like that to think rationally. I have no solution other than pointing out what I did - that her willingness to be so openly ignorant is blasphemy to her own brain.
Parrot had a great answer and showed infinite patience though :)

I read that other question and answered it. It's embarrassing to think there are people out there who truly have so little sense. Do they REALLY believe the garbage their trying to pander, or are they even listening to themselves?
What should we do with these questions? There's really no point in answering them. The asker isn't really looking for an answer, they're just preaching at you(and trying to insult you, to boot). I suppose the sensible thing to do would be ignore them. But it's SO HARD to let people away with that crap! :)

For the god-fearing:
The idea of an all creating, omnipotent entity that judges and rewards/punishes you based upon your actions, originates in migratorial, ancient people who needed to find justification for occurrences that they viewed to be outside of their realm of control.(weather, disease, loss of a loved one)
People thought they needed to appease the power that controlled these phenomena, so they defined rules and boundaries, and other such limitations and regulations to prevent negative things from happening to them, and to reap rewards of maximum benefit.
The entire concept is archaic and sad, but it does grant people the opportunity to alleviate themselves from responsibility for things that occur in their lives.(God made me this way/Gods will be done/It was the will of God/the gods/Allah/Krishna/Jehovah/whatever).
Some people are to wrought with externally posed guilt to consider thinking the concept through rationally, and some have never been exposed to other potential possibilities, or chosen to educate themselves as to what those possibilities are.
What is faith?
What requires faith?
Faith is a bridge-gap between what you experience day-to-day in your life(your own reason and observations) and what someone, or some group wants you to believe.(Sure, it doesn't make sense. You just have to have faith!)...too bad.
People can, and will, believe what they want.
There’s othing wrong with that, until it starts to affect the world we all have to live in and share. Case in point ...THE WAR IN IRAQ...oh wait...and every other war...and act of terrorism and extremism, EVER.
That is all.
