Why don't you celebrate it as though it was his first Christmas, even though technically it's not? It will be his first REAL Christmas.

I know you said mothers only, but I would like to give my opinion.
Technically speaking his first Christmas was last year, but this year will be the first celebrated Christmas. I suggest you prepare a very good Christmas for your child and take many pictures.

I would definitely consider this to be his first Christmas...my son was born on the Dec. 16, 2005 and we too were having the same dilemma..but we decided that this year would be his first celebrated Christmas...we took him to the store, and he picked out wrapping paper...we've had him help us put up the decorations (to the best of his little abilities of course)...and we look forward to reading him 'Twas the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve...have fun!

Being the mother of a baby about the same age...I would celebrate this year as his first christmas. Technically, they're not going to remember, but last year you guys were recovering from birth and getting settled. This year is for the fun and enjoying your baby...they won't be this young forever.

I would treat this x-mas as his first. Last year he was just a little person trying to figure out this "life" thing surrounded by hospital staff. This year he can interact with family and really enjoy playing with the boxes that his presents come out of. lol... This should be his first due to the circumstances. I would make a big deal out of this one! Good luck!

technically, last year was his first christmas, but this year is going to be so much fun for you! Just wait until you show him how to rip open wrapping paper! Celebrate it as his first christmas if you want to, with all the bells and whistles a first christmas deserves!

Celebrate this year as "Baby's first Christmas at home" ...sure, it's actually his second Christmas, but this will be the first one he remembers, and it will be your first Christmas together at home as a family of three.
Merry Christmas!
