unfortunately it doesn't matter how much u practise unless u have good instruction. if u keep practising the same thing without fixing your problems...how do u expect to get better?U cant!! I have only been playing for a few months but I now have the BUG for golf and I usually play 2-3 times a week and I am now shooting between 90-95. Not gr8 but a hell improvement from 7 months ago. My hubbie plays off single figures and helps me as much as he can! and I also had 6 lessons from a pro. So technically I am getting tuition each time I play with hubby's help. Hence I get better each time I play. Get some lessons and fix Wat u r doing wrong and make an effort to replicate those lessons in your game. Your game should improve soon. Forget the crappy results and enjoy the game and strive to get better but realise that without help...u may not improve. xxx

Hello bondman
All of the practice in the world wont help to make you better if you are not fixing your swing faults. Nothing happens easy in golf except maybe for some smiles, we must learn the proper swing path and fundamentals which includes the stance, grip, alignment and swing plane.
Get set up properly useing the correct fundamentals on the range and have fun, simply go out and try to hit balls as hard as you can and you are in for a lot of frustration.
Here is a link to a web site that will give you illistrations on the fundamentals of the game, be sure to view all links.

A tip for practice is while at the range you should emulate playing a real round, that is you should picture being on a par 4 say 400 yds and pick a spot out on the range to hit your driver to, then determine what club to hit second to get the distance to the green, this gives you a better feel for the game then hitting 50 drives in a row which of course we never do on the course.
Good luck and have fun

Keep trying. Golf is only for those who can accomplish inner goals. The people who give up, don't like the sport are those that won't accomplish anything in life. If you keep trying and make some improvement you will accomplish more in other parts of your life as well. Golf is one of the only sports that can't be mastered. Never listen to anyone that says do something else. They are obvious weak individuals in their personal and professional lives!

Agreed. Sometimes the more you practise, the worse you become as you are not practising the correct way. You are just perfecting your imperfect (incorrect) swing.
Don't worry about the swing. Imaging someone you do not like and put his face on your golf ball. Then whack the hell out of that face!

If your golf is as bad as your typing and language skills, you should give it up.
