I had applied for I-130 spouse visa here in the USA. Recently we have recieved a letter from the nvc here in the US, saying that all the paperwork is approved, and the file has been sent to the London Embassy. We are just wondering how long before we hear from them

The link provided below is what my husband and I use as we wait for the embassy in Casablanca to contact him for his interview (the last step before he gets the Visa to come here to the USA). In the documents you received, you can also call the phone number provided and get more information (or current information) on your case.

I was told that once you receive paperwork saying the file has been sent to the corresponding embassy, it is up to that particular office to set the appointment. Perhaps you can call them and refer to your case number to get the answer.

Bureaucracy takes time. It will depend on the mood of the person who received your paperwork. I would call them and tell them you know the paperwork has been approved and now you need to know how long they will take to process it. Give them a little call that will speed things along.

It could be anywhere from 30-180 days, but probably about 2 months.

Probably forever, the Americans do not like us ....try applying for their lottery green card over the web, see how far you get.
