She claims he talks about ME all the time.
She said she's in love with him, but I know she's alone in this feeling.
She asked if I had his phone number. She doesn't. I said I had it but I deleted it. I made it sound like I could care less.
She started talking about whether I thought he was handsome and what I thought of his body. Technically, I like guys over 6ft and 200 lbs and he's 5ft 8 in and 145...but he's so terrific that I don't let that detail hold me up.
I was sooo sweet. I even asked if she wanted me to page him to the front of the store so she could say goodbye before she left. When I did, he called my extention and said "Hey Babe, Whatcha want?" He didn't call her BABE.
I am trying to take the high road giving this female all the room she needs to be his friend. I tried to be decent toward her and not act childish. So do I have her "running scared"? Have you ever had anything like this happen to you? What was the outcome? Which girl gets the guy in the long run?

He and I work together. I paged him on the intercom and he rang my extention phone.
His cell phone is now disconnected. That's why I deleted it!

Wow, you've behaved like a lady, congratulations, keep up the good work.
Which girl gets the guy? A girl like yourself, someone who shows self control, is self assured and even though you may be shaking inside acts totally cool and nonchalant about it, that is what attracts any kind of guy, someone who knows how to handle herself and carry herself, who doesn't scream I'm desperate, (the other girl does) and she is, so as you can see, that never attracts a guy, he didn't call her babe, he called YOU, you have nothing to worry about, it looks like the guy likes you a lot and has nothing going with the girl, she on the other hand is playing her cards wrong, just let it all happen on its own. You'll win if you stay this way. Very nice!

If this guy likes you for sure why act like you could care less? What if she convinces him your not interested in him? You've open a door for her to take him. I'd talk to him as much as possible and even ask him if he can eat lunch with me. Make sure he knows you are interested in him. And if this other girl gets mad to bad.

Life is really not so serious. Relax and do what you would do if the other girl is not in the picture. Go for the guy only if you really want him, but not as a competition.
Success at love is all about personalities gelling.

Sounds like a little more than a 'crush' or he wouldn't call you 'babe'. If you give him breathing room (seems like you do) as he in turn should give you. That is what a real relationship is about trust & honesty.... and honestly who's his 'babe'? You are. Good luck!

You already have him interested in you. Sleep well, nothing to worry about, at least, for now. So you said you deleted his number but you paged him for her? I don't know if all this acting was necessary... I usually don't see a point in trying to look sweet. And I don't "cooperate" with other girls who are interested in the same guy. I prefer not to allow this type of discusion. I'm like "He's mine, back off you sweete".

You clearly already HAVE the guy. I think its a bit childish that you are using this mature, aloof act in an effort to get her to "run scared." Stop fighting over men. If a guy wants to be with you, he will be with you, regardless of what his other options are.

You're giving this female all the room she needs to crash and burn is what you mean. If this is a card game, you hold all the cards. He's yours if you want him.
