History of crisis?
Is the drugs treatment successful?

Yes: Ask his/her doctor if is possible to treat in a private setting. If YES (make sure to have a write consensus!) short appointment, avoid light in his/her face during the traiment. Avoid strong noises.

NO: refferring to an hospital? Taking a periferal vein and prepare 10mg of diazepam. Sedate the patient?

In the hospital where i'm studying we treat lot of unhealthy patients, a part of them are epileptic... but in more than 2 years we havn't had any serious problem....

I'm a dentist.

When I see an epileptic, I want to know the following:

1. How long have they been having seizures.
2. When was their last seizure.
3. What kind of seizures (e.g. grand mal, petit mal, absence, etc.)
4. Are they taking medications.
5. Last seizure to take place while on their medications.
6. Any known triggers.

Also, for patients who I think are at risk of having a seizure, I may prescribe a benzodiazepene to be taken pre-op.
