Need more info before I can really help you, and why do you need to do it? You can not update your BIOS via internet. Well, not in your case, and not the way you think it would.

First you need identify who wrote the BIOS. Go to the company website, assuming the company still exist, and search for updating your BIOS. Still, unless you are trying to something creative with your machine, you don't really need to update your BIOS.

You will need your new BIOS driver and a Flash utility.
Download the new BIOS and a flash utility, make a bootable floppy and add the BIOS file and flash utility on to it. (should be an exe and a bin/rom) Take a piece of paper and write down the name of the flash utility file and the name of the BIOS file including the .bin extension (it can also be a .rom extension).
Turn off the computer, do not just reset because then you will still thave some files in your memory. Flashing the BIOS is a memory intesive application and you don't want to have anything resident in your RAM.
Reboot to floppy. Type flash (or whatever flash utility you have)Type in the name of the file as you have it written down on your piece of paper, USE CAPITAL LETTERS and do not forget the .BIN extension.
You will be asked if you want to safe the old bios in a file, The answer is YES, call it OLDBIOS.BIN and do not forget the .BIN extension.
Finally you will see a progress bar and the messages: Programming BIOS, do not disturb and do not turn off the computer.
When everything is done (the whole process takes about 20 sec) you will be asked to restart your computer and you are in business.

You need to find out the brand name of your motherboard and the model number.
This is usually displayed on the top of your screen when you boot up your computer.

You then need to go and find your motherboard on the Internet and find the link for the Bios update.
From there, you will be given a file to download and you need to run that file on your computer to update the BIOS. Make sure to read the instructions before doing it. This is not for novices. If you stuff up your BIOS... you got no computer.

Note:
The last BIOS update will include all the previous updates... so you only need to download the most recent one.
