I finally had a Dentist that said I have always been haveing an allergic reaction to Toothpaste. I have always had this problem, dentist just assumed I was describeing gingervitis or something.

One of the things that happens is all the skin in my mouth and on my lips start stripping away. If I try to go to bed after brushing my teeth I some times wake up chokeing on it (not the time I am supposed to wake up but because my body wakes me up).

So anyone have any brands or sub brands they can recommend?

I looked at Children and "Baby" toothpaste at a store that had them and they had MORE fluride

Shboby: My Dentist and Doctors always turn up incompetitant and with some legal troubles when someone finally does something about it.

Mcdannels: I am aware but my living circumstances would not allow for it. We have Bugs, Cats, and everything in the fridge absorbs smells/taste without even being Bakeing Soda.

MantisDream: So far the Arm & Hammer I have been seeing have Fluride.

Dr. Samsavar: Yes,.. I checked the Children and Baby because I thought logically they would reduce or not have Fluride but they do here (everyone where I live is increaseingly haveing their IQ deteriorate). I have a Listerine MouthWash. Listerine is less painful then useing Toothpaste for me. But I have to brush my teeth then use it or it doesn't work right (clean then protect). I got Listerine Toothpaste because I thought since Listerine isn't a problem,.. it might help a little (and my mom was haveing teeth break so she needed alot of help) but I get the same reaction. The only Toothpaste I don't think I had problems with were Children's Toothpaste that were discontainued long ago. I will try to try what you suggested but I have used all kinds of different toothpaste and always had problems. What could be different between Mouthwash and Toothpaste? The kind I have is Vanilla Mint Antiscetic.

As for this Dentist that said I was Allergic.

He said normally it seems to be caused by Cinnimin flavouring but they don't know why or what causes it in people past him noticeing that.

He didn't recommend anything because he doesn't know anything past that.

Baby toothpaste does not have fluoride in it. Tom's of maine also makes a fluoride-free toothpaste.
But why do you think Fluoride in the tooth paste is the causing agent? There is a foaming agent in most toothpastes called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate that some people are sensitive to. For example some get canker sores after brushing with regualr toothpaste. Rembrandt makes a canker-sore toothpaste without SLS in it. Tom's has SLS. Also if the issue that you have is sloughing off the tissue, I have seen it due to the use of toothpastes with tartar control formulas areas of stringy white tissue comes out. So avoid toothpastes with tartar control formulas.
My suggestion is at this point not to use any toothpaste or any thing else, just wet your toothbrush with water and brush regularly for the next two to three weeks until everything comes down. Do not use any mouth washes either especially Listerine. Then get a fluoride free tooth paste and try it and see if the problem comes back, if it does switch to canker-sore toothpaste.
Good luck

I've seen some baking soda toothpastes without flouride, I think Arm&Hammer makes one...

Also, there are children/baby toothpastes without flouride. We use a fluoride-free on my 2 1/2 year old daughter. We buy it at the grocery store... but I think it's with the baby stuff, not the regular toothpaste section.

Ask your dentist! They can usually give you something that will help! Tell him/her what you are allergic to and then they probably have something for it! There are all kinds of sensitive toothpastes out there!

Tom's toothpaste!

They have a website, but you can find it at Walmart (some), and health food stores.

Just plain old baking soda. I new a lady who did this, she had to. She explained to me that before these toothpastes came out people still brushed there teeth...never tried it but did not need to.
Hope this helps?

Pepsodent doesn't have floride if it is still on the market. That's what I had to use as a kid because my mom thought floride was a mind control drug.
