Without resorting to or quoting from any 'book' of your faith, (i.e. the Bible or the Qur'an) or suggesting that 'the evidence lies all around us, God created everything' and such nonsense.

Also, why is YOUR faith/God/belief in creation more viable than someone from another faith? What makes you right and them wrong?

God exists, and knowing full well that there is no scientific way to prove it, here's how I'm sure:

1.) people are inherently born good. If there is no divine will, people would be born not knowing good from evil. But no person is ever born evil.

2.) The people we remember the most are those that have been good beyond normal - Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, Mother Theresa, and many more.

3.) Someone, or something, had to initiate the Big Bang...

4.) We have hardly begun to discover the mysteries of the universe...I believe that an omniscient divinity would want to eternally keep humanity (and any other beings out there) guessing...why did life begin on earth? How do black holes work? What happens when we die? Do we have souls?

I do not know if there is any one religion that is correct - I believe that there is no Hell and everyone is eventually granted paradise - because we are all born good, we are merely corrupted by society and are reborn in heaven. Thus I think to an extent all religions are correct, and all are wrong.

Finally, God exists because there are people who believe in God. The idea of a divine being in the beyond has existed with humanity for its whole existence, and as long as even one person continues to believe forever, I will know God exists.

If there were absolute conclusive evidence of God, there would be no purpose for anything. Our existence would not even matter. A fundamental element of religion is faith. The definintion of faith is " a hope in things that are not seen, but are true". My answer to your question would take far too long to write, but I will tell you there is a great purpose for life. Far greater than you probably imagine. Your life didn't begin at birth, and it will not end at death. We're all here on earth as part of a grand plan that you and I actually took part in. I invite you to at least give God a chance. You have nothing to lose. And the great part is that you can make whatever choice you want.

Nope, I have no solid proof that I can pull out of my pocket and show you. I do however, believe that looking at the beauty in the Earth (what little remains that man hasn't destroyed), holding your own baby for the first time, or even the feeling you get when you do something nice for someone else w/o expecting a reward in return are examples of proof to me.

I don't think my beliefs are any more or less viable than someone else's. I chose my path based on what I felt was right for me, and I don't expect others to conform to my beliefs.

Claiming "truth" without proof is pointless. Truth in faith is relative. Hand 5 different clergymen 1 passage of scripture and you're likely to get 5 different interpretations.

I really think people need to stop looking for evidence and start looking for faith. We need to agree to disagree and rather than slamming each other for our differences in faith, embracing the common bonds we share. God will judge us on our thoughts and actions, therefore we shouldn't judge each other!

Noted Catholic theologian Hans Kung, in a huge book entitled Does God Exist?, examined the matter in excruciating detail, and concluded that it is not possible to prove, by logic or evidence, the existence or non-existence of god. I agree. Not surprisingly (he is, after all, a Catholic priest), Kung chooses the affirmative. But it can be proved that either belief is useless: that neither can lead to any useful prediction. It should be obvious that religion, where belief in supernatural effects is necessary, cannot be jibed with science, in which belief in such effects is prohibited. I'm a scientist, and don't believe in god.

I don't come here claiming to be right or wrong and the only evidence I can bring to this Q is my "book". I understand that many do not believe as I do and I don't ask of proof or evidence to support their beliefs.. Faith in God and searching the "book" has brought me to a stronger faith in him and I do now and always will believe in him.. I trust you understand how I feel and respect me for it as I do you... Peace be with you all your days

Take this example. I am Muslim, to specify.
If I slapped you, you would feel pain, right? You can't see pain, but you know that it's there. In the same way, I know that Gd exists.
Also, I don't believe in right and wrongs. For people, their own religion is right. But, in this case, my religion is right, because it's what's written in the Quran. Take the Bible. People changed it over the years. I know what's the truth, because the Quran is the only book which hasn't been changed.

I'm non-religious, however I know that Faith is a mystery and needs no evidence. Those who have Faith simply believe without needing any evidence. Religion goes beyond science and evidence and that's its strenght and limit (in a way).
