it depends which bones were ORIF'ed but ORIF is usually removed after 6-12weeks once the bone has healed. only disability wiil result if the bones didn't heal together properly forming a deformity/malunion, or a leg discrepency after the surgery which is rare (sometimes occurs in femur ORIFs). SO generally no there shouldn't be a disability after 2 years

Only if the surgery failed. This could be due to faulty technique, implant failure, poor patient compliance, etc. The main reason why ORIF is done is to enable the bone to heal better. If nothing went wrong and the bone healed as it should, there should be no cause for disability. After two years, you should be walking normally by now and your implant should have been removed already. Oh yes, implants placed in the lower extremities should be removed after it has served its purpose of promoting healing.
