Sustainable or green housing are one where we donot use things like cement and concrete but use all eco friendly and biodegradable things.

With use of nonbiodegradable products we are harming the earth with inducing global warming and polluting the environment. When we make houses with clay, wood and like material they are much better and have least negative effect on environmental. But, we should remember that a lot of wood is not used as this is again harmful for our environment but to use only those things which are available naturally and without any harm to nature like without cutting green trees.

These kind of housing save us a lot of money since construction cost is normally low and are much better in diffrent climatic conditions.

Sustainable housing is:

- constructed from renewable or recyclable resources and from sustainably-produced timbers and other materials produced in an efficient manner;

- designed to minimise the need for electrical lighting, heating and cooling, such as insulation, windows/skylights and solar hot water systems;

- designed to reduce the amount of toxic byproducts and excess waste that might otherwise be produced;

- should include fittings and appliances that reduce the amount of water and electricity used - ie dual-flush low volume toilets, water-saver shower heads etc

- include water tanks and systems for using tank water for toilets and clothes washing.
