Time Magazine breaks it up into 4 different kinds of God. The include the "distant/poetic" (Einsteinian) God concept, but leave out atheism.

Why gives? Anyone?

Strangely, they all add up to 94 % !?

Wonder what happened to the remaining 6%?

Could that be the "atheists" that were left out?

I didn't think atheists believed in the concept of God...even some Einsteinian view of God is still a concept of God...

Shouldn't we be a little embarrased that so many folks are rooting for an Old Testement, angry old man version of god rather than a loving and forgiving newer model?

Atheists have opted out of having a perception of god but agnostics, on the other hand, who haven't closed the door completely should be given a say......

Probably because the poll was about people who believe in god..what type they believe in.
Atheists probably were not included because they do not believe in a god at all..
so why would you ask someone about what type of god they believe in when they do not believe.

If you don't believe in God you would have no opinion on what he's like, therefore atheists would be removed from the study results.

I don't know that "no god" counts as a type of god. Plus this country has been taken over by conservative christian sheep. Bah.
