Several years ago, I was the kind of guy who minded his own business. I wasn't very religious but didn't have anything against those who were. There was this group of four guys in my neighborhood who were always trying to convert people. They accosted me at the same time everyday because I would catch the same bus to work. Each time I would politely turn them away. Then one day, the leader of the group became enraged and they jumped on me, and beat me into a coma that lasted for two days. All of my ribs were broken and my face swoll up to the point where I didn't look human. I healed up okay, and the cops caught the guys who did it. I expected justice, but they all walked because the prosecutor forgot to send a piece of evidence to the defense. They all walked out of court, and praised Jesus. They didn't care about the pain that they caused me. I blame God as the root source of what happened to me. I have deep rage issues that I'm seeing a psychologist for, and there is no sense of love in me anymore for anything.

First of all let me say that I am not a non believer. I believe in God and have my own set of beliefs about other spiritual matters, but I have to argue just a little bit. I do not think that just because a person does not believe in God it makes them hate and be angry. It is just that they do not believe. I do not believe in many things that Christian religions teach, it does not mean that I hate God or anything of the sort. It means I do not believe.

Just for the record, I don't hate God, Christians, nor Christianity. I'm not a Christian, but that most certainly does not mean I hate those who are. And I believe in and love God.

i have no hate of a god that i do not believe exists. i wish a god did exist so i could have someone to blame.
i have no hate of Christians, or for that matter any other followers of any religion who i have met and found to be capable of being understanding, tolerant, reasonable, general all around nice people.
i will however given the chance kill an extremist as that would be doing a favor to humanity.

Just because I am a "non-believer" doesn't mean I hate god, or christians, or christianity. I just highly disagree with and question it. Since when does having your own opinion make you hateful or angry? And please don't "bless" us...if we wanted to be blessed, we would go to church.

I belive but still I would like to comment: I think it's because most of the time we are refused what we want by a beautiful christian woman of divine faith.

I don't hate God.
I don't hate Christians.
I have an opinion about God....I like the concept.
I have an opinion about the religion that calls itself Christianity...from my own personal experience it doesn't work for me.
Peace!

I'm a believer but I will try this Q.. Simply nonbelievers just don't believe. They get uptight here at times just as we do.. We try to convey or beliefs to them as do they to us..
I wouldn't say they hate anything, they just don't believe..
Oh, and they are usually very well versed on the book that we base our beliefs in, the bible..

As a follower of a different faith, I'd have to recuse myself as a "nonbeliever" I believe in something, just not YOUR something. I don't hate Christianity, not God, I just walk a different path. Our spiritual beliefs are very personal to each and every one of us, but hatred is a very strong word to use. If more Christians would actually follow the teachings of Christ, and not get wrapped up in all the semantics, they would be more tolerant of others as well as their beliefs. Just remember that I'm as deeply ingrained in my own faith as you are yours, and you aren't going to convert me by simply telling me that yours is the ONLY pathway to salvation and enlightenment. That would be as preposterous as me trying to convert you to my own faith base. It simply isn't going to happen.
In parting, I'd like to simply say that you can rejoice in your faith, and I'll rejoice in mine.
