It's just the way you're born. I get A+'s because I can memorize things really quickly right before a test. Then I forget slowly after the test in the next few days. I rarely need to actually study.

For clarification, you don't want to be a so called "genius", because this only leads to boredom. I know from experience.
Work ethic and compliance will get you an A+ faster than being
"smarter". I would also like to clarify that being smart and increasing intelligence are to different concepts. Reading about the subject matter pertaining to the classes you take will possibly help you in class. Paying attention or at least hearing things that are explained can always help. IQ doesn't lead to higher grades.
Extremely high IQs actually lead to lower overall grades because of boredom. The work will also be uninteresting which will lead to slacking off.

You can't just increase your IQ, if possible not by very much. What you CAN do is excercise the functions of your brain that you already have. You can do this by simply challenging your brain by doing what you KNOW you can but you still need to think about... and then putting it to a fast pace. FLASHCARDS, for any tests, use flashcards. Look ahead. In the end, you may not even have to do anything... by just reviewing your material everyday for a while and repeating it in your head you are removing the mental blocks that keep you from remembering it. I used to have the same problem so I can sympathesize =)

I had a fantastic teacher who taught me this. Each chapter, (section, topic whatever for your classes) type out an 'outline' in whatever format makes sense to you (I used plain ol' bullet points for mine) and put down a little about all the main topics of the section. Then make sure you read it at least before you go to sleep at night and if possible a couple of times during the day. Revisiting the information will help cement it in your mind so you can pull it up for a test instead of drawing a blank.
Aside from that little trick, make sure you pay attention in class, take notes on lecture, do allllll homework (lots of points get lost by not doing homework) and always do available extra credit if available.
Mostly, being an A+ student is about working hard at it. Don't overstretch your time. Make sure you arrange things to allow yourself enough time to get your school work done. Do homework on lunch breaks at work, while waiting for buses etc.

The previous answer is correct. But you can improve grades by studying like crazy. A+ means better than perfect, tho'. That means every bit of extra credit you can get your hands on.
