I have had alot of stomach surgery over the years (c-section, gall bladder removal and another op to fix up the c-section that went wrong) as well as having to huge children close together. My stomach looks like a battle field. I have scars, stretch marks and no muscle tone at all. My partner of 6 years sees past that. He tells me all the time how sexy I am and how much he loves my body. When we are having sex, how my stomach looks is the farthest thing from his mind.
If you don't worry about it, he wont worry about it. The more self conscious you are about it the more he will pick up on it and notice things. Act like you don't care about it, enjoy the time you guys have together and he probably wont even notice it

If your boyfriend of 4 years is scared off by your stretch marks once he sees them, then his love for you couldn't be sincere. Any relationship needs to be built on a whole lot more than just appearance.
To help reduce any surprise he may have, tell him about it before he sees it and tell him that you're concerned what he might think.

She's no longer so naive that she'd absolutely believe "he's basically being pleasant." you don't want to stay with a lady who's gonna carry you complications like this guy. If he has not wanted to look at your behind in 4 years I seriously doubt he gives a damn. He does not sound like a very sexual man, you sure he is not a queer.Stretchmarks are common on most people. I have dated more than few women who had this.
I did not have a problem with it as long as the butt was firm.

i'm a girl, but i will tell you that i am self conscious about my stretch marks and cellulite. however, when i'm with a man he's so into having sex with me he doesn't notice ... and actually compliments my body b/c it is a nice body in terms of size and shape. so, i would say don't worry about it. also, if your bf would be disgusted by your stretch marks then he's a jerk and you shouldn't be with him. my guess though is that he's a good guy and won't be disgusted at all.

Everyone has something about themselves that they dont like. If he thinks that he is so perfect that he can not handle any imperfections in you he is not worth it. I know it sounds like an old adage but looks arent everything.
