If they fought each other in their primes, who do you think would have won, and how?
My vote is for Chuck because I used to watch him as a kick-boxer champion.
I don't know much about Van Damme, other than he's got some great moves himself, and is heavier-muscled than Norris. This could help him with some strikes, or it could slow him down.
What say you, martial arts movie fans?

Van Damme was pretty cool back in the day but Chuck Norris is like a 16 time Karate Champion. I believe he won the American Karate Championship 8 times, and the International Karate Championship 8 times. I might be mistaken, but either way, Chuck had 10 times the toughness and expertise that Van Damme had when it came to live combat. Van Damme was mostly a ballet dancer and he was not an expert in martial arts, and he was not a fighter. Chuck would destroy Van Damme in a fight.

Van Damme was/is a total show pony - he leanrt most of his moves from his dance training - i dont think he ever competed in a fight comp
other than bruce lee norris was probably the best fighter pound for pound of his era
van damme might have lasted 30 seconds with Norris - but then so would you or I!!

Chuck Norris owns all, Van Dam was a wimp. He was beat up in a bar about 7 or 8 years ago.

Norris hands down. If you're praised by Bruce Lee you're good. Plus Van Damme's a dancer not a martial artist. Just because you can do splits doesn't mean you can fight.

chuck because of his experience in judo and Taekwondo. he is stronger and faster then van damm. van damm is Fancy not too real.
