if you want the illusion of looking taller work on your posture. it wont make a drastic difference but you can 'gain' a few centimeteres lol. This does require stronger muscles to hold you body upright.

no. height is determined by the growth of the long bones in the legs. those bones only continue to grow for about fifteen years. after that, they have become filled with calcium and cannot grow anymore. for some, their natural height is not reached because a broken leg bone stops growing sooner because the healing of the break requires calcium and the bone will deposit the calcium in both directions from the break. in most people, the break causes one leg to shorter but only a very small amount. in the case of a severe break the difference in length can be much greater and may require a surgical solution or specially made shoes to make up the difference in bone length.

Actually, yes and no. Your actual height is not determined by exercise. HOWEVER, many people don't maximize their actual size because they have poor posture. Many people hunch over and slouch because they have weak abs, shoulders, back, etc. Strength training... especially those designed to help improve posture (like pilates and yoga) actually make people look taller because they are actually standing up straight with good posture!

not really. in fact, if you lift without guidance you may find yourself looking rounder than ever (stocky).

take vitamins and swim if you want to get a little taller.
