I have been talking to this guy for about 8 months and he said that out of nowhere...why?

That is an easy one, he loves you, period. He just doesn't want to say it with a simple "I Love You" Trust me I know how he feels. There is a woman in my life whom I feel is the world to me and she is always in my heart and mind.

He's either a pathetic loser who fell for the first girl that talked to him for 8 months or he's trying to get a quick way to get into your pants. Most guys will say pretty much anything to get into a hot girls pants if they think it'll help. But i can't say 100% since i dont' know any of the details.

he is nuts and know it and wants he to share it with u, i guess if he wants to lay his cards on the table u can call for a new deal a re shuffle, or end game, but that's the way guys are, some are that real, and some only want to end living alone, may be he is waiting to c what is going to come from your lips as a damage report from moving too fast

In my case, it means that the guy has never listened to anything I've said. I prefer it when someone means the world to themselves only. If you don't take care of number one, who will?

i have been with a girl 9 months online only, and i just told her that too... and i meant every word of it, cuz i wanted her to know that she meant the world to me and she was in my heart, always with me in my thoughts... i sent her flowers, i was her first(flowers), today i haven't received an email, message, or phone call... i've been jealous a few times for decent reason and am always home to be there for her to talk to. in other words he could be in love... lol

are you sure you guys have just been talking. if so, he seems like he is the type of guy that gets attached too fast. those type of guys are usually very needy. 8 months is not that long of a time to get to know someone well enough to say something like to them. get rid of him
