i don't know where you live but typically it takes, at minimum, 6 months before a divorce can be finalized. trust me that he was dating other people during that 6 months or more in between filing for divorce and the judge signing the final divorce decree. as such, you are likely not the rebound girl (she's already come and gone). however, be cautious that he may not want to get married again or not anytime soon, so if you are looking to get married soon he may not be the guy. however, if you aren't looking to get married soon then have fun! :0)

The girl I am dating was suppose to be my rebound fling and she knew it I was up front with her from the start and she was ok with it well a year and a half later we live together and i can say that she really makes me happy so if you like him go for it who knows maybe things will spark.

That doesn't mean his memories will let him go. Even when there is a divorce and a physical separation, the life once hoped for remains the shadow for the next person to live in and that is a reality.

i depends on how long the relationship was on the rocks. the relationship could have been over for along time before the papers were signed. in this case your not the rebound girl. it would also depend on who walked away first.

Yes, but take it slow. Do this for yourself only. Don't get in the trap of feeling sorry for him and giving him comfort. He was grown up enough to be married in the first place. We must deal responsibly with our own emotions without expecting someone else to pick up our pieces. Lust may invade his mind right now, so be careful not to give away your most precious emotions without carefully considering what it could do to you if he is not sincere.
