It is very customary. It is traditional. It is respective of herand her parents. In my opinion it is shows that you respect Her alot.
I asked my wife's father for his permission. He said yes. He passed away a few months afterwards. You should ask. This isnt a silly thing to do.

I particularly have viewed those comments besides and that i agree. some mothers and dads get indignant regarding the youngster-loose and vice-versa. i think of it has to do with the fact of no longer expertise each and each others positions. mothers and dads have teenagers and for them its the ideal factor. The childfree do no longer and that they think of its the ideal factor. The argument will follow us as long as there are 2 colleges of theory. Being on the fence weither i choose to have teenagers, I completely agree on being bingoed. what's incorrect with sorting out all the information earlier you plunge? i like teenagers and all yet i do in comparison to conceited mothers and dads. there replaced into one guy or woman that suggested perhaps your question replaced into put in the incorrect place to initiate controversy. i theory approximately it and on the beginning up i theory she replaced into proper, yet then you actual are speaking approximately non-parenting so that's in the terrific place.

No it isn't silly. It is very polite but I dunno I would wanta to be the first person to know if my guy was gonna propose to me, not my parents. Though her parents will appreciate it.
