I don't know about weight training exercises, but this one is great for the muscles in the lower back. Lay on your stomach on the floor, hands by your hips. Then slowly raise your head and feet upward. Only go as far as you feel comfortable. Then lower and redo for 20 reps. When you feel stronger, you can increase reps and move your arms up your torso until finally they are above your head. This is called the Superman, because in the end you look like him flying.
