how is oxygen produced for us to breathe? From Plants and Trees. the plants need the sun light to draw energy from that light, then use photonsynthisis to turn that energy into oxygen for humans to breathe. without oxygen, we die. carbon monoxide is also sucked in by the plants, and reproduced into oxygen again and released back out into the atmosphere.
