I'm thinking in this day and age, why do we still practice daylight saving's time? I miss my longer days and shorter nights.

I'm from Indiana and we got stuck with DST this year. What a load of crap!!! Try getting your kids to bed at 9:00 when it will be daylight for another hour -at least.
We (voters)were told that it was so neighboring states would know what time Indiana businesses were open.It would increase revenue.Yeah-right! They (lawmakers)have yet to provide any evidence of the achieved economic benefits! Besides,I never had any problem knowing that Michigan (DST)and Illinois were on different time zones.
DST is outdated! Leave the clocks alone! It has no place in a 24 hour society! Let me get my kids to bed with out so much hassle!
Thanks for letting me vent.

I have been wondering the same thing! How can we get it changed to stay in the daylight savings time always, or just change the hours of work in businesses.

The days are going to be shorter during this part of the year regardless on if it is an hour earlier or later.

We need to just go in between and in the spring just move 1/2 hour forward and be done with it.

It all started when education became mandatory in this country. A lot of farmers needed their children to help them when the sun came up in the morning, and it was making the children late for school in the winter. so the government decided they needed to allow for an extra hour in the morning of light so that farmers could get the help from their children, and the children could still make it to school

If they were smart, they would just have school start an hour later and leave the time alone.
