Mom and Dad are the people that take care of you, have raised you , and love you. I dont really care to know my bilogical father for certain reasons. My Dad, who has been with me since I was one, is my father and the one who has given everything to me. His love, support, but most of all his time. I could not ask for a better Dad ^_^

I believe that each of us has a desire to know where we come from.

That desire must not interfere, however, with our current situation. If you truly want to kno wwho your biologicals are, then look into it. If it just to satisfy your curiosity, beware.

Talk it over with your adoptive parents. They are the ones who brought you up, and just like biologicals, they only want the best for you and will look out for you always.

Let them know what you are feeling and why. Do not hide your intentions of searching, as this may cause them to feel hurt. Believe me, they will understand where you are coming from and have been anticipating this day since the day you arrived in their home.

Be honest with yourself and with them. Things will work out the way they were meant to. Just have faith.

i dont know if it is important to meet them...but as an adult adoptee, i sure would like to have medical info, past and present if possible. i have no idea what genetically runs in my blood, maybe ignorance is bliss for some, but when my kid asks about family history or nationalities i would like to be able to give an answer. i would like to find the information A LOT more than the people...

Nope... I know who my parents are and don't care who gave birth to me.... I would just like to know their medical history so I know if I have anything to worrie about like heart disease or something... other than that I could care less who they are...

yes.. out of curiousity but i won't tell it to the person who adopted me.. i don't want to hurt their feelings.
and when i found them, i won't even dare to talk or go close to them.. it's their choise and they have reasons.. which i don't want to know.
