I like to my meals with hot sauce, I keep getting stronger hot sauce, and it doesn't feel that hot anymore in a few weeks. Will it hurt me if I eat so much hot sauce? are there any documented benefits and harm eating hot sauce in a regular basis?

I also am a hot sauce lover. I eat it on everything like pizza, chicken, steak, rice, eggs, tuna, anyway. I have acid reflux and heartburn from doing it so long. It literally eats away at the esophagus and stomach lining. I say you only live once and I don't want to be on fire when I die so Drink Hot sauce for every meal. Good question

There is research going on that says that hot pepper sauce has antioxidants. In other words, it is good for you. Unfortunately there is an undesired side effect the next day. I like to eat ice cream after I enjoy hot sauce so the next day when I sit on the bowl I can plead, "Come on ice cream".

If your dog seems distressed, give it a scoop of ice cream to lap up...the milk will neutralize the capsaicin in the hot sauce and stop the burning sensation. Be prepared that the milk might give your dog a bit of diahhrea but that will clear up after a poop or two.

This is from http://www.wikipedia.com
The heat, or burning sensation, experienced when consuming hot sauce is caused by capsaicin. The burning sensation is not "real" in the sense of damage being wrought on tissues. In fact, it's merely a harmless chemical reaction with the body's neurological system.

There is the well documented BB syndrome. That is "burning butt" for the non medical crowd.

If you have ulcers, it will aggravate them big time. I have this problem. Also, when you poop, it is going to burn. I have also had this problem.
