terminally ill patients that are in a lot of pain have access to morphine...they have a permanent opening in their arm to a vein with a drip and all they have to do is push the button and a few drops of drug enters their body...the way it's set up, the patient will fall asleep before he could possibly take too much, however they do have access to morphine tablets as well...or at least 20 years ago when my mom died they did...I think my sister helped her when it got so bad that Mom was completely out of it...she was so doped up she didn't know anything...my sister probably just increased the dosage to kill the pain, but way above what she should have...knowing it would kill her....no one asked her about it and if she did, no one would have blamed her.

This means that you have a patient who is going to die, no matter what you do (terminally ill). Then prescribing medications that could kill them.

But... thats not typically done. ;) Usually we just treat the pains and symptoms so that they can die in (less) pain, hopefully.

I hate to burst your bubble, yet Hell basically exists right here on earth. The surgeon and the affected person will make a journey to the different ingredient, as all of us will, devoid of having to burn for being human.
