We actually did win in Vietnam. We suffered a military loss, but we were able to stop the spread of Communism throughout SE Asia. Vietnam, China, and other east Asian nations have now embraced capitalism, although their governments are still Communist. Countries like Thailand were saved from Communism from our efforts. We did learn from the past. The SE Asian fight against Communism succeeded, and the Middle Eastern fight against Islamic Extremism may succeed as well.

Before some time I read in papers that India have largest numbers of prostitute....according to US survey. But surprisingly who have given US press such rights to peep into others matter. What US has done for the vast population suffering from HUNGER, UNEMPLOYMENT, DESEASES, almost in every country. Any press can locate poverty, unemployment, prostitution, homosexual, lesbians, corruption, dacoits, in its full power in US also. Should we attack US for these reasons. No we should advise and offer solutions to the problem rather than politicising the issues. War is no solution to human social and economic problems.
And as India a GREAT democracy, who never invaded any country. So such country can offer correct solutions for problems of Humanity. And those who dont know A..B..C..of humanity have no right to invade any country fo any reason. And if some country gathers and attack US for social and economic problems, which are there more than any other counry what will be the position. And this must happen. When Russia was with India US escaps invading. Now China must come ahead for world JUSTICE...& ...PEACE.

Firstly, because you need to understand, any war is a tragedy. Sometimes, it is necessary. We did not lose Viet Nam, it was considered a military stalemate and a political/diplomatic win.
See link 1
WMD were found in the form of Sarin gas. (See link 2)
Now, ignorance? Reevaluate your claims In your statements, you heap all sorts of praise on my country and in the same breath lay blame and claims of butchery at our feet. You cannot have things both ways no matter how much you wish for it.
Facts: Saddam Hussein DID have WMD and the UN leveled 17 separate, comprehensive sanctions against Iraq, Saddam made payment to anyone who would successfully attack US & western interests including Israel, as well as operating within it's sovereign borders many training camps for these non-existent terrorists. Saddam is known to have ordered, or participated in the deaths of at least 120 thousand and possibly as many as 250 thousand citizens of Iraq. Many mass graves have been discovered and forensic study has shown that many of these victims were buried alive. He has systematically committed genocide, carried out, and ordered the torture of thousands. (See link 3 & 4)
Now, let us discuss the war effort. I won't argue for or against the reasons the President may have had. I will say that all the whining over leaving now, today is ridiculous. The gaping vacuum od power would be immediately filled by the Iran leadership. Funny how they have been suddenly sniffing around like a mutt after a female dog in heat lately. We leave when it's done. To do less would be to sign the death warrants of too many in the region who won't toe the line of the radical Islamic faction. (See link 5 & 6) Be sure to check out Memri.TV...there, you will find the peaceful (coff..coff) Middle Eastern leadership and their very heartfelt comments regarding America, Britain, Israel & our allies.

The only people worse off in the butchering thing in Iraq are the Sunnis, who are getting payback for decades of doing it, legally to Shiites and Kurds, they are so used to it they don't really notice. The Syrians and Iranians are promoting the violence, getting them to stop arming, training and supplying insurgents along with sending in their own military in disguise, is what's behind the violence. Using women and children for "human shields" makes the terrorist more guilty for their deaths than those who return fire, if we weren't trying to save the civilian populations from harm the whole region would be a smoldering glass desert by now, but we believe for the sake of a small bad percentage, especially when most of them are foreign and backed by neighbors Syria and Iran, it is worth teh casualties we ares uffering to liberate these people. They have elected a government and if it wasn't for the campaign of terror provoked by foreign countries they would have their own government and security force by now. We won't repeat this in Syria or Iraq, if they attack us directly there won't be anything left standing to occupy.

Iraq is not a mistake, it is not a screw up! I sapose your one of the people who think we should leave iraq right now
That would start complete chaos, Iraq would go back to its old ways, and all of this time we have been in Iraq would have been a waste of time, but believe it or not Iraq can be changed, and its going to take a long time, I personally am all for a permanent US military base in Iraq.

US is basically a business country. For it business interests are uppermost than any other interest. US reacted against Iraq only due to Saddam Hussan's attempt to nuteralise US in oil business by accepting Euro currency, which may collapse US's monoply in oil trade. Otherwise, if Saddam agreed to play to the tune of US, Bush may not able to find any fualt with him.

Completely agree. I think the problem is the american form of democracy where they have only two political parties which are essentially the same, being run for the benefit of rich white men thus making the US essentially a one party state like communist China but with better propaganda through Hollywood and other media.

Your arguments are all pretty valid.
But there are two points of interest to note with reference to US involvement in Vietnam and Iraq. In the case of Vietnam, US dragged or tricked in by the French which wanted to wash off their hands in Vietnam, especially South Vietnam, and USA was miserably defeated there.
In the case of Iraq, it was UK which kept pestering USA for decisive action which itself was based on a dossier prepared by UK and jointly presented by UK and USA to the world but that dossier was full of misleading facts!
And, here again, USA will be miserably defeated.
All said and done, America is indeed in the exercise of exporting not democracy but mobocracy to other countries!
