Here's the deal...my marriage is ending (I have 2 kids). My co-worker just ended a LTR. We were out having fun after a day full of meetings, and at the end of the evening we ended up in her hotel room. I spent the night. It was really nice...first time I felt comfortable with someone in years. We never really had a chance to talk about that night (it has been three weeks). Today I finally asked her about it. She chalked it up two us both having some hard times and just wanted to have fun. She wants to still be friends. We don't have to worry about it getting in the way of our jobs. She lives five hours away (we all telecommute) and only see each other periodically at meetings. I've alway liked her and now I want to explore the possibility of a relationship. She says she doesn't want to go there. I don't want to seem like I can't accept that it was just a one night stand, but I'd like for it to have been more. I still want to try and sweep her off her feet. Should I try?

If you say she told you she didn't want that, then that's what she meant. Women are more honest like that...since you already let her know you were interested if she changes her mind she'll approach you, otherwise you need to accept what she said.

She told you she doesn`t want to go there and also went into an indepth discussion as to what the reason was for her not wanting to enter into a long term relationship. Respect her wishes and move on. This is why getting involved in a fling or a relationship is one of the worst things that can happen in the workplace.

Maybe it's a sign. due to the distance and time between you two, a relastionship is not the best idea. BUT at least now you know you can have fun with someone else! Hit the clubs.
