i never noticed it but my chi has this small rectangle shaped cut on her arm the fur on it is gone it isnt bleeding or anything but i just noticed it today what do you think it is

It sounds like she skinned it on something. Just treat it as you would a skinned shin on yourself..Put a little neosporin or other ointment on it, and it should heal quickly..

well she could have just somehow rubbed the fur off of it put a antibiotic cream on it and if it gets worse or if it don't get ne better in 3-6 days i'd say take her to a vet

most likely its called a HOT SPOT, its pretty much an allergy in their skin caused by many reasons....it tends to be red and raw and if its in the healing stage it can look like a red patch without oozing. Watch to see if she keeps licking that area or tends to scratch at it.. I suggest taking her to the vet to find out what she is allergic to, to prevent it again.. Has she rubbed the fur off...you might try some antibotic cream and see if it helps.

some breeds of dogs have their nails ripped off like boxers it leaves a pinkish color mark on their arm
