Words of Christ:
Matthew 11:19:
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her actions."
Christ states that He drank wine above.
The Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:18:
18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,
The sin is in the drunkeness, not the drinking. Be careful, though, if you are indeed getting drunk. Satan is very good at fooling you, and making you think that what you are doing is OK, when it is not.

I would not think so. I guess it would depend what you do "under the influence." Just like getting angry for example, you can try to relax or scream obscenities. They did drink wine in biblical times didn't they. You have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If you do not put drinking before your relationship with the Lord, and are a responsible drinker. Don't drive, don't get wiped out,(how could you on 3 beers a week), don't lose your senses, it is a beverage in moderation.

Drinking is not bad, but drunkeness is, you have to watch out so it wont become a problem. Because i haven't found a scripture that just having a drink is bad, its when drunkeness comes into play or/and it takes your eyes off of God. Read: 1Peter 4:3, Proverbs 23:29-32, Ephesians 5:18. If you consume alcoholic beverages wisely then there is no problem.
Because i have friends who say they get drunk because its fun but then they claim they are Christians also, now you can't have one foot in the world and one foot with God because thats not God's intent for your life, struggling between living a worldly life and then living a Godly one. So apparently they lost complete focus on what God's will for them is.

nope not a sin, maybe if you chug all 3 in a few seconds for the sole purpose of getting high cuz it says to get high on the Spirit instead but still it would not be a biggy. Now perhaps if the bears were in pitchers and drank without a glass and in 3 differant bars and u acted in a raucus manner such as to be described as carousing then u might have a problem.

I don't think it is. If it is it don't mention it in the Bible anywhere that I know of. However I know my church doesn't support drinking alcohol because of the out-comes that can happen from it. People get drunk and do bad thing that they wouldn't normally do. They become alcoholics, a thieves even so they can get the alcohol, they lie to cover up things that they shouldn't of done. They get drunk and they make bad choices that affect their lives and the lives of others for as long as they live. They cheat. They brake marriages up, get in fights, got to jail, get fines. They get DUIs and kill people. My church just doesn't support it because they say we are suppose to be in the world not of the world. And there are more negatives then positives. Alcohol is addictive and can become a form of bondage, that should be avoided or used wisely.

No, it's not. Sin is something that separates us from God or alienates us from others, or is destructive to ourselves or others. Jesus spent plenty of time eating and drinking with his friends. His first miracle was turning water into wine!
Here's an example: Me and my husband enjoy a glass of wine or a beer now and then, neither of us has a problem with it. His sister joins us and she is a recovering alcoholic. To insist on drinking when she is around would be destructive to her, and to our relationship.

There's no prohibition against light drinking, so long as it does not have an adverse effect on you.
Some denominations don't allow alchohol at all though, even for communion, but there's no scriptural basis for a position like that.

Why not Jesus was a Wedding /Party person who was also a Rabbi and the son of God and drank his share of wine or what ever was served. Your soul and body was created by his Father and the holy ghost . who created plants that could be fermented into various types of alcoholic beverages.
Just know when to put the cork back in the bottle(moderation.).

Gluttony is a sin.
2-3 beers a week is not really gluttony, I suppose.

if you are only drinking in moderation, there is no problem. Jesus drank wine. There isn't anything wrong with a little drinking. If all you do is drink in moderation, there is no sin. So long as you dont do anything sinful while you are buzzed, there isn't anything wrong.
