G'day smokingstonersweetheart,
Thank you for your question.
I am never one to overlook the obvious so this is a recipe for a hamburger that won't fall apart from rec.food.recipes.
Try this for burgers that don't fall apart:
1 lb. ground round or serloin (or hamburger)
1 egg
1 Tbsp. L&P or A1 type sauce (or your fav.)
1/4 to 1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup chopped onion (opt.)
1 tsp. garlic powder (opt.)
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix very well. I use my hands to mix. The ground meat should be very finely divided so that when you make the patties they are very dense. This is what keeps them from falling apart on the grill.
Put on the grill with some lovely fresh buns and salad and you will have a burger that will put Macdonald's or Burger King to shame.
I enclose some other recipes for your consideration including the original Macdonald's recipe.
Regards

You could make pizza burgers. You brown up the meat. Then add in a jar of pizza sauce, optional a tsp. of fennel seed. Bring it to a boil, then let it simmer for about 45 mins to an hour. If it gets to thick add a couple Tbsp of water. After it has simmered put about a little more then 4 oz off mozzarella cheese until it melts. Put it on hamburger buns.

This is my favorite thing to do with ground beef.
Make a Shepherd's Pie:
Brown it, put it in a casserole dish with peas and carrots and cover it with mashed potatoes. Bake it til it's hot.

oops, I didn't copy the last poster! I was busy typing.
I guess it's unanimous...Shepherd's Pie.
