You have stated you do have Power Point, so I will assume that to be true...
Even though I do my fair share of Microsoft bashing, one thing they're pretty good about is allowing assignment of a program to a file type. So, the file you are attempting to look at must have an extention. That extention must be assigned to Power Point. If you save the file to a folder or your desktop, can you double click and open it from there? If so, then I agree, LookOut has an issue. I haven't seen it happen, but it is a Microsoft product, so anythings possible.
If you find that you can't open it by double clicking on it, open Power Point, and go find the file you saved in the folder/desktop.
If it still wont open, it may be zipped or an executable. You can try forcing the extension to be .pps for power point, .exe for an executable, and .zip for a zip. If you still can't open it, I would suspect the file to be corrupt or not of one of those file types.
You can check extension by doing this:
Open "My Documents"
Go to Menu Tools -> Folder Options
Click on the "File Types" tab.
Click on the "Extensions" column header to organize by extension and see if your file's exension is there.
The extension could be assigned to an incorrect program.
