I began breast feeding my baby during church when the whole congregation went in an uproar and made me leave. I usually don't feed my baby then, but she was crying and I could tell she was hungry.

Just because the congregation hates the beautiful relationship God created between mother and child does not mean they are right. These are the jack christians, the "for show" christians, the ones who preach, complain and condemn on YA but who are false at heart.

It wont be justice to ban breast feeding in church.. On the other part there several things mother can do. 1. feed the child from some corner so that it doesnt attract the groups attention.. If it is difficutl to get away in middle, in the beginning itself select a suitable corner.. 2. Feed the child before coming to church.. 3. Normally decent men wont try to look the boobs of a feeding mother. But small kids are not like that.. So cover you r boobs using a scarf.. In the place where i live i have seen many women feeding without even the people standing near them knowing about the thing..

Sure, or anywhere in public as long as its done modestly.
The problem is not with the breast feeding itself, its the public display of nudity that many have problems with.
There are many, and my mother included, who would use a light blanket to cover both the baby and the breast, and that's fine. So common sense should be used when feeding a child. But when a mother yanks her breast out and starts feeding her child having no concern for others, that's shameful.

In a CHURCH? Absolutely, without a doubt! If you were being modest, and not allowing the whole congregation to see the whole show the answer is most certainly YES! If it offended anyone, they need to get just a little closer to God. That's the reason a woman has breasts. We, as humans, have turn them into something sexual, and you would think a church congregation could see it for what it is.

Does that Church declare any thing that the Lord created as being unclean? The Lord created mums to have all the "equipment" necessary to provide for the needs of infants. Certainly breast feed your infant during Church and use a feeding blanket.

I think you should be able to do it at church, but personally, I would probably be offended if somebody did it right in the middle of a meeting. You should be able to take the baby out of the main room and feed her in a place where you can still hear the sermon.

There are times when breast feeding in public is socially unacceptable and at church is one of them.
Next time find a nice quiet place like the nursery or the ladies room.
There are many especially elderly persons who believe that the temple is a holy place, they believe in wearing a hat, dresses and a suit to church. Children are welcome as long as they are well behaved.

Mothers should be allowed to breatfeed ANYWHERE THEY WANT TO!!! The baby is hungry and you shouldn't have to get up and find an isolated vacant spot so you can breastfeed. I honestly don't understand why Americans are so uptight about nudity, especially breasts. In Europe breasts aren't really considered realy nudity. They're just skin and fat. There are morons at your church. Breastfeeding is natural and it's not dirty. They need to pull their heads out of their asses.
