A chemical imbalance in your brain has no direct affect in the way that you smell. If you smell funny, it can be caused by types of food eaten or just personal hygeine issues. The only imbalance that could cause your body to eject an odd smell, would be a hormonal imbalance that would be associated with the body's Endocrine System, not the Neurological state a person is in.

Hello, meek sky - doing our clinicals at the hospitals, we come across many people suffering from dementia, sometimes from Alzheimer's, sometimes something else. The only hygiene issue is if/when they refuse a shower. If they don't get a shower, they get a bed bath and, either way it usually calms them down. So, my answer is no, they don't "smell funny", nor do any other people with a chemical imbalance. Thank God we live in a time where depression, bipolar conditions, schizophrenia, etc. can be very successfully treated (unlike in our grandparents', and great grandparents' time).

No, they smell with their noses like you and me.
But if you are referring to if they have a funny odor, I can't think of anything.
Everyone has their own smell. You might have an odor that someone else might think it's weird. JK!
If a crazy person doesn't shower, they might have an odor, but not because they are crazy, it's because they don't shower.
You can't smell chemical imbalances.

i dont know y u said crazy people but everyone has their own smell isnt it?
its just that due to some health issues some ppl smell really bad

no they dont they are just like anyone else the only way i can see them smelling funny is if they did somethin crazy to make themselves smell funny like put somethin on them to smell that way

Some people with mental illness do not have great personal hygene. They do not smell any funnier than dirty people that are not mentally ill.
