I had a ct scan to confirm the stone. Urine output was never compromised but after 5 days of pain, it went away and I never did find a stone. Am I just waiting for another attack in the near future?

There is a chance you simply missed seeing the stone, if in fact it passed. But there is a greater chance that the stone is now dormant and not moving, it is only when moving that they produce pain. Unfortunately, it could begin to bother you again at any time or not at all. With kidney stones it is a waiting game. Only a second CT scan can tell you for sure. I'm glad your feeling well now! They are an experience to say the least!

You're very welcome. It varies from person to person. One of my brothers had a kidney stone a few years ago and, yes, his hurt when expelled and it was smaller than yours. The kidney stone I passed (around 2 mm) didn't hurt when it was finally "netted" it, but it hurt like the dickens before. If it's any comfort to you, neither of us has had a recurrence.

All the best,
Serena

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

Yes it does cause awsome pain. Take plenty of chilled water/beer. It can flush out itself with pressure through urinary tract. Thanks.
