There's a really cool, new DVD by Weight Watchers now, called Walking Kit and includes a walk-at-home dvd, with 3 different length walks (10 minutes, 25 minutes, etc.) and what's best about it is, you do other things and steps and stuff, rather than just walking, so you can do it in as little as 3 or 4 feet. I hate exercise and I love it, and it also includes a guidebook and a walk-on-the-Go CD, that you can use when you go back outside to walk again. You can probably order it at weight watchers online store, at http://www.weightwatchers.com or at any weight watchers meeting place near you, when they are open. You dont' have to join or attend a meeting, to buy anything they have, but if you might want to anyway, you can sit in on the first meeting for free, to see if you like it. It's a great system, really flexible, easy to keep track of, and the meetings are even fun!
***And*** if you don't like any of that, but you do like to walk, you can drive to a mall near you and walk with your headphones on there. No-one would even notice that's all you were doing, and you may even be able to find a walking group that meets there at a certain time each day to walk together. Sometimes it's even before the mall opens for the rest of the public, so the walkers can have it to themselves for the walk. Then when summer comes next year, you can take a detour into "Everything But Water" and get a new, smaller bathing suit to show off your new bod! Good luck - sorry it's so long - I've done really well on weight watchers and get a little excited recommending it - and the DVD - to people sometimes. - oops!

drink plenty of water, watch what you eat, and there are other ways to exercise outside of walking outside in the freezing cold. You can walk up and down stairs inside (or lacking stairs - you can do step aerobics - like in the gym - you can buy them at the local sports stores).

I never exercise outside even when it's nice out. I have a couple workout DVDs. If you get the channel FitTV, check it out ... they have lots of great trainers. My favorite is Gilad Janklowicz. He has really good priced DVDs on eBay ... lots of fun to do as well. My mom also uses a stair climber or just a basic step to get her body going.

get a treadmill, and put it in front of the TV put on a really good DVD and you'll forget you're walking through the whole movie! my mom does this all the time, it works. try putting on something really funny, or something really intense and suspensful. good luck.
