The chemical componants of cranberries have a balancing effect on the urinary tract. I'm not trained in this area but I know what works for me and have done some research on the subject.
If you want to injest in the juice form, look for juices that are more natural - not the "cocktails". They are high in sugar.
There are suppliments available. Try to find them when they are on sale as they can be pricey.
If you are having symptoms, take one or two tablets (depends on the dosage per tablet) every day for a wk or so.
If I am not having any symtoms, I take one or two a wk.
I've had bladder infections in the past - not many, but enough to know how uncomfortable they are. This routine keeps them at bay for me.
Cranberries are a great source of vitamin C as well so it's all good!

Cranberry juice has a particular characteristic that makes it very effective in treating urinary bacteria. It has to do with the structure of the cranberry molecules which are like tiny barbs that glam on to the bacteria and carry it out with the urine. It also has vitamin C content which is also beneficial.

I have heard of this. There's something in cranberry juice that cleans out the blood vessels, et cetera. Do a search for the "beneficial attributes of cranberry juice" and be enlightened.

Cranberry juice is a natural diuretic. I don't know about weight loss. Fruit juices in general are not good for weight loss due to their high sugar content.

Cranberry juice is not a weigh reducer, however I believe that people are considering it as a possible weigh reducer because you go to the restroom a lot when drinking it, I believe it will help you reduce your "water weigh" some people obtain water a lot in their bodies.

Not JUST cranberry juice. Cranberry cocktail has sugar content, which is what most of you are thinking of, but pure cranberry juice with no sugar- yes, it will help your system flush out toxins and the such.

Cranberry juice is supposedly helps reduce the chance of getting a urinary tract infection. Weightloss? Out of all the juices, cranberry is loaded with sugar to make it drinkable, so sorry I don't believe it would help with weightloss.
