More years ago than I care to remember, we had a similar situation. I had a good connection with residents who were working at a human hospital. They snuck her into the residents quarters, and used some adhesive tape to "butterfly" the incision closed, until I could take the cat to the vet the next day.
You may have an emergency vet, but, if it is late and the kids are sleeping, then it might present a logistical problem beyond imagination. This worked quite well, and, in fact, the vet advised us to continue using the bettefly method. It kept the wound covered, kept the ends of skin together to heal, and kept dirts and germs out of the incision;
It would probably get you throught the night. Most likely, she didn't pull out all of her stitiches, just a small part. It should be OK until you can get your vet tomorrow. Hope this helps.

You need an E- collor for the cat (that funny lamp shade looking thing). Your friend might have been sent home with one to use if they thought they should. Just make sure the wounds are clean (being careful cats can be mean when in pain) make sure litter pan has no sand litter only news paper because that will get stuck in wounds. Call the vet and get in tomorrow for an emergenct they are usually open early on Saturdays and close early too. Again keep the inscision clean and check often. If there is alot of blood and the cat is crying or the wound opend even a little you want to take the cat to the nearest emergency 24 hour clinic to get sewed up otherwise there is a big risk for infection. Hope this helps watch her closely, try to get her not to bite.

Like everyone said, call the emergency vet. However, if you are located in a small town, and have none nearby you may want to try the following:
1. Use butterfly bandages to close the wound.
2. Fashion a collar around the cat's neck so it cannot reach the wound again. A section of cardboard shaped like a funnel should work.
3. Get the cat to the vet the moment they open.

call, call , call! try 811 its like 911 but for lesser emergencies, and usually not for people emergencies.
if nothing happens, just do what you'd do with a person: apply direct pressure, place a bandage on it, and wrap it in a dressing, tying the knot on top of the open wound. make sure its not too tight, but keep applying pressure. i'm really surprised the vet didn't give the cat a cone for her head so she wouldn't chew off the stitches♥

Go buy some butterfly bandaids. Wash your hands good. You will have to hold the cat in a towel as you push the incision together and tape the incision to close it. You will tape across the incision. It will look like a railroad track when you do it correctly. Any animal that has claws, I would not want to be putting super glue into their wound because it burns. Why tramatize the cat any further.

My dog chewed out his stitches once after having surgery. It was a holiday, no vet open. I called an emergency vet clinic and they told me to use super glue and glue the wound. I did, and the wound healed just fine. BTW they use a type of glue also to close surgical wounds in people. Heals cleaner, less scarring.

If you don't have a local emergency vet get some butterfly strips and some solarcaine the solarcain will numb the area and help prevent infection as well as try to make some sort of cone to prevent her from pulling off the butterflies untill morning. Good luck.

Get the cleanest bath towel you can find and wrap it around her tummy and tape around her with duct tape. You can take a paper plate and cut a hole in it and make her a collar to keep her from more chewing. Again tape the collar in place. You may have to be up all night to make sure she doesn't bleed through the incision. Go to the Vet's clinic as soon as possible. Best of luck to you!!

Honestly since she just got fixed, and chewed out her stiches, please look online or in the yellow pages for an emergency vet, its very dangerous, but ifs just the outside sutures its not as life threatening but it can't last until tomorrow either way. If you have no choice go to your vet FIRST thing in the morning and keep her away from her incision, put a tshirt on her, something to keep her away from it!
